Friendly, helpful and informative wedding planner
“From the very first contact with Michelle she was friendly, helpful and informative. Nothing was too much trouble and she made some really useful suggestions as to how to make our day run as we wanted it to. We can’t thank her enough for all of her help in making our day the most wonderful experience.”

A plastic free wedding
Over the years it been great to see more and more couples, suppliers and venues going plastic free. In 2018 Sky Ocean Rescue did some research into wedding waste and found that in 2017 245,513 weddings took place in Britain with an average of 100 guests at each, with nearly 20kg of single-use plastic at every one! That adds up to 4,910 tonnes of plastic potentially pouring into our oceans every year – the equivalent weight of 47 blue whales!⠀
⠀
But in practice, what does having a #plasticfreewedding really mean? It simply means eliminating all plastic from your day… no plastic straws, single use plastic cups, water bottles, disposable decorations, balloons, fake confetti, packaging or wrapping from products and favours. We work with venues and suppliers to support couples taking the #plasticfree pledge, making sure they are also avoid any single use plastics. ⠀
⠀
We all have a footprint, but by having a #plasticfreewedding it’s just one way you can help to protect our beautiful planet. ⠀
Conscious catering
Did you know that one of the simplest changes you can make to your wedding day is to add more plant based foods to your menu? ⠀
Be creative with you menu. It’s not for everyone, but you could consider incorporating more plant based dishes into your wedding breakfast. Vegetarian canapés, side dishes, or vegan desserts maybe? It’ll have a lower impact on the planet, without sacrificing the taste as plant-based foods, on average, consume far fewer resources to produce.⠀
Having an open, honest conversation with your caterers is key. Talk to them about where they source their produce, the more local they are, the less carbon footprint they have! ⠀
Be creative about where the raw ingredients come from. There are also lots of fantastic companies that can provide you with tasty, seasonal produce that would have previously been destined for the rubbish bin.
What are the best eco wedding venues?
There are some amazing, inspirational sustainable venues, but your venue doesn’t need to be fully sustainable for you to have an eco friendly wedding. Whatever the venue, we will start by looking at ways we can decrease the carbon footprint of your wedding without compromising on your vision.
There are venues for every style and shape of wedding, from eco luxe farm retreats to grand country homes. We’ve picked out a few of our favourites.
Planning a seasonal wedding
Without doubt it’s the most sustainable way to plan a wedding, and in the UK we’re really lucky to have four very distinctive seasons.
Think about your favourite foods, when local produce is in abundance, flowers are looking their best, how much daylight there is.
We help couples to work out what season is right for them as part of our planning process.
